I recently visited the LA County Arboretum, which consists of various plants from different countries/continents—particularly Africa and Australia—as well as its own historic biodiversity, such as Baldwin Lake. From the get go, you’ll be distracted by Peacocks before you’ve even parked, as Peacocks freely roam the entire area—even the nearby neighborhoods. After entering the Arboretum, there’s a Café—The aptly named Peacock Café, which is a great way to start your journey as you get around to mains exploring the whole Arboretum. You’ll need it, because the place is quite large. If you like taking pictures, be sure your phone is at full charge too, because there is just so much beauty to be discovered.
