Seven Golden State Warriors scored in double figures as the Dubs defeated the Dallas Mavericks 112-87 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 21 points to go along with 12 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole each chipped in 18 points.

Curry led all scorers with a modest 21 yet the Dubs won by an impressive 25.

It was obvious from the get-go that the Warriors had a solid game plan and defensive strategy for how they wanted to handle Luka Doncic. Andre Wiggins was the primary defender on Luka most of the night and it was obvious his length, athleticism, and strength on the block bothered the burgeoning star. There were plenty of hard shows from Draymond Green and Kevon Looney that kept him out of the lane. When Dallas tried to switch off on Klay or Steph, they both held their own more of then not.

The Warriors forced the pace each and every quarter and made Luka work on the defensive end all night. Wiggans was really active and aggressive on the offensive end of the ball as well and was deadly on the drive and from beyond the arc. After a super slow start in the first half Klay Thompson came alive and helped fuel a decisive third quarter run in the third quarter that the Mavericks never recovered from.
