What is Top Tier Gasoline?

Gasoline—the one fuel that the majority of the world uses to power vehicles, especially for the vast majority of regular consumers. Many of us don’t consider where we get gas from, as long as it’s at a reasonable price, right? For the most part, gasoline is pretty generic. However, most modern car manufacturers recommend adding gasoline fuel treatment, UNLESS you use top tier gasoline. Top tier gasoline has additional additives/detergents in it, which help to reduce fuel and carbon deposits/buildup and keep a car’s engine cleaner. This helps with fuel economy , emissions, and of course, engine longevity and performance. Those ridiculous pricey gas prices you see at Shell and Chevron?

Look for this logo at a gas station if you want the best gas.

They pump top tier gasoline. But that does not mean you have to overpay for better gasoline. Top tier gasoline is sold at many, much more affordable stations, including Arco, Sinclair, and especially Costco. Costco gasoline is already much cheaper than most gas stations, so being top tier is just the cherry on top. Gas stations that are abundant but don’t pump top tier gasoline includes both Walmart and Sam’s Club, unfortunately. Check if your gas stations pump top tier with the link below or by looking for the top tier logo.
