We are in San Jose for a couple days this week and I had the perfect opportunity to office at the Capital One Cafe inside Westfield Valley Fair shopping mall in Santa Clara. In fact, I’m doing this shout out on their wifi and sipping a mocha while I write. I have never been in one actually and when I saw this one located less than a mile from Winchester Mystery House, I knew I wanted to land their and work some.
These “banking” centers and totally social and have food and hand-crafted coffee beverages like a Starbucks or Coffee Bean. There are ATMs, cashier’s check kiosks, and Capital One service agents standing by to help with any questions or more traditional financial needs.
Capital One Cafes seem to get their start about 4 years ago and are literally spread out around the country. From their official YouTube page, “Capital One has reimagined what banking can be by way of the Capital One Cafés. But with that novelty comes the question: “what is this place?”. Well, let our Ambassadors help answer that for you—fill you in on just what the Cafés are, what they stand for, who is welcome (hint: everyone), and what brews and services you should expect to find.”
