All the ways you can vote in this upcoming election

The right to vote is foundational to our democracy. It defines our nation and state and is the reservoir from which all other rights flow.

Here in California, voting in our primary elections is well underway, so I wanted to make sure you know all the ways you can cast your ballot.

Election Day is Tuesday, June 2, but that isn’t the only day you can vote — it’s just the last day. Every day between now and June 2 can be Election Day for Californians.

Every Californian should have already received their ballot in the mail, and I encourage you to vote early in any of these secure and reliable ways:
• By mail — fill out and return your ballot via USPS. Put it in the mail it as soon as you’ve filled it out — at least a week before Election Day to avoid delays.
• By dropbox — fill out and return your ballot in one of the hundreds of ballot boxes throughout our communities, including at all public libraries. Find one near you today.
• In person — early vote centers will open in 29 counties starting May 30. Find one near you by clicking here.
