Black History Month according to the Warriors and Stephen Curry

We live in a day and hour in media where commercials and advertising campaigns in general are really sub par. I’ve seen this commercial a few times now this month and I like it even more each time. It was originally released for Black History Month in 2020.

Messaging is an art, not a science, and that’s not a criticism. Communication is key for any organization or business and vital today in terms of branding and reaching supporters, members, or customers. This has a powerful message and one that is clearly universal. I applaud special efforts like Black History Month, LGBTQ History Month, and others like it. It’s super relevant to also be reminded that every month is important to consider and honor the rich fabric of diversity that is every society we live in today.

Black History Month: MLK interview

February is traditionally considered Black History Month and in honor of that theme I’m reposting a fantastic interview of Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. I used this video in my MLK Day post last month and watched it again today. It’s really well done and newly remastered by NBC for color. It’s a 28 minute interview, very substantive, and recorded 11 months before his tragic and untimely assassination.
