The Dubs finally got around to posting a Thank You video for Nemanja Bjelica and it just dropped today! After watching and posting videos from the Warriors expressing gratitude to Otto Porter Jr., Garry Payton II, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Damien Lee weeks ago I felt a little bad for him.
While he only played for Golden State one season, I was a big fan of his talent, poise, and overall basketball I.Q. He saw good minutes during the regular season and was a reliable impact player on the second unit. I thought he meshed well with Klay Thompson as he was working his way back and his passing acumen was on par with Draymond and Andre for sure. It’s my understanding that the Dubs offered him a contract to return but he opted to play in Europe instead.
On a final note, I loved the call out when they posted this video on the team Twitter account and I just had to give it a shout out: “Once a Warrior. Always a Warrior.”
