All three California NFL franchises are making their playoff appearances this weekend as the playoffs officially begin. No other state in the Union has three NFL teams but we do and they all have Super Bowl aspirations. The two NFC teams are the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. The lone AFC team is the San Diego Los Angeles Chargers.
The LA Rams will be first up on Saturday afternoon in the lone playoff broadcast. They travel to the other coast to take on the Carolina Panthers. The SF 49ers make their appearance Sunday afternoon and also had to travel to the East Coast to open their playoff run. The 49ers have to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at home. Rounding out the wildcard slate on Sunday Night Football we’ll see the San Diego Los Angeles Chargers visiting the No. 2 seed New England Patriots.
