Minimum wage is an hot button issue no matter where you’re at, more so in California, a US state that has one of the highest minimum wages in the country. At the same time, there’s the issue of “inflation”, where prices for everything can be unreasonably high, while the wages of many simply don’t match these price hikes. The current minimum wage rates are $16 per hour for most workers and $20 in the fast-food sector. The health care sector will eventually see its minimum wage reach $25 per hour under a law that Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed last year and took effect in October. – AP News
