The last time I went out to purchase (and enjoyed!) a variety pack of Cali Squeeze, which included the original Blood Orange, POG (Passion Fruit, Orange Juice, and Guava), and Mango. These flavors are under the SLO (San Luis Obismo) Brewing Company. Today, the Cali Squeeze brand is now under Firestone Walker. However, confusingly, you can still get Cali Squeeze under either SLO and Firestone Walker. What’s the difference anyway? The original Blood Orange tastes pretty much the same. But that’s there the exact similarities end. The Firestone Walker Cali Squeeze has different flavors, with their Passion Fruit (similar to POG, but without the OG), Peach Pomegranate, and Raspberry Lime. Without having any cans of SLO to directly compare to, my memory tells me that the SLO variants were more hazy and fruitier. Firestone Walker’s is more clear, crisp and perhaps, more refined for the casual drinker. Either way, Cali Squeeze is a refreshing, fruity wheat beer. So if you are oddly confused as to why there are two different variety packs by a different brewery under the brandname Cali Squeeze, hopefully this helps out.
