The seventh installment of the iconic Scream franchise opened this last weekend, and man, did it do extremely well. The debut brought in $64.1 million domestically and $97.2 million globally. According to Parade magazine, this performance set a franchise record and surpassed the opening weekend of Scream 6.
Neve Campbell returned to the role of Sidney Prescott and joined original Scream writer Kevin Williamson who stepped in to direct the film. The franchise as a whole has now passed $1 billion worldwide. We’ve been big fans of the Scream movies for a very long time and are over the moon that it’s back on track after the Melissa B firing back in 2023.
