Klay Thompson scored 33 of his 38 points in the first half as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 123-112.

Klay was hot from the get-go in this one. It was a joy to watch and for those of us who have been watching him for the last decade it’s not really a surprise. His 33 first half points came, in large part, from the 8 three-pointers that he connected on. After coming home 0-3 from their last road trip I was worried if any of that frustration would show or carry over. It didn’t.

The Dubs have concluded this two-game home stint in to 2 high quality wins against two top-tier teams: The Bucks and the Suns. Granted, the Bucks were without The Greek Freak and the Suns were missing newly acquired The Slim Reaper. Nonetheless, there were two high quality wins in which the Dubs are starting to look like champions again. The real test will come starting Wednesday night as we embark on a 5-game road trip. It’s go time!
