Californian students stranded in Afghanistan

There have been many sad (and sometimes happy) stories of people finally being able to leave Afghanistan, especially a certain translator who sacrificed much to finally come to America. There is no shortage of bad things yet to happen since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

Over 24 students are said to be stranded in Afghanistan after the final US flight out. Worse yet, these are students in primary school – children. They come from the school districts of San Diego-area Cajon Valley Union School District & San Juan Unified school district. An estimated 1,000 children and 20,000 US citizens are still in the country. I really hope the students, and everyone else can make it safely out.
