California’s universal healthcare bill dies prematurely (again).

So, the proposed bill (again) that would bring to California Universal Healthcare has died without even so much of a fight, failing to meet enough votes last Monday for it to even be considered state law. The biggest reasons for its failure might be the lack of information on how it would be funded, and that funding it would probably incur higher taxes. Guess third time would be a charm, should there be another attempt.

California Democrats on Monday failed to gather enough support to advance a government-funded universal health care system, succumbing to intense pressure from business groups and the insurance industry in an election year.
